Consistency is key

So I have found when I am more consistent with both diet and my workouts I am seeing a bigger difference in my body. I also now have begun to see a massive difference when I eat unhealthy foods, I am finding I just bloat up completed and I can be bloated for up to two days depending on when I’ve eaten those foods. This is because I have basically detoxed my body by eating clean, so now when i eat bad my body reacts, whether it’s different of the same as before ( I just didn’t notice). I’m not sure but I do know for sure I prefer eating clean now!

Below I can see my tummy has become a lot flatter since eating clean. I’m feeling a lot more confident in the gym and in my normal clothes I’ve dropped a dress size and I have now resigned to the fact I know I won’t look exactly how I want on the beach in 20 days Time but will look better than I did last year.

New gym exercises

I have a new training partner Charlotte, who pushes me to keep going and keep motivated through her determination and eagerness to be lifting weights too. This is great for me as sometimes when you are training on your own you lose momentum and end up just doing things willy nilly and not finishing sets. We have upped the amount of reps we do and using slightly lighter weights at the moment to maximise fat loss. As we both have goals. Mine is that I told you about yesterday and my main thing is that I want to feel confident on the beach in my bikini I have 24 days until I fly. So I’ve upped my cardio too so I am now doing about 45 mins of cardio a day. One session on a morning to start my fat burning off for the day and then a warm up for 5-10 mins before my weights and 5-10 mins at the end of my work outs apart from on leg day when I can’t manage to do any cardio afterwards 😉
Here is a sneak peek of two of the exercises we did for shoulders/lats this week.

Plans for the year

So I’ve put all big events for this year in a Calendar and I’m setting myself goals for each of these so in 26 days I’m aiming to be 11stone 9.

My brothers graduation 11stone

And by mine and Josh’s 2 year anniversary I hope to be maintaining around the 10stone mark.

I’m feeling positive as the weight seems to be dropping quite nicely.

My main aim for this is when it comes to looking at competitions and what I’m aiming for next year. The lighter and more lbs I’ve lost means I can focus on what weights I need to be lifting etc.

For those who feel defeated when they don’t feel like they are losing the lbs quick enough this is what 5lbs of fat looks like! Don’t be defeated keep going! And also when body building you are losing fat but you are also gaining muscle and muscle naturally weighs more than fat. Keep lifting #girlsthatlift #fatloss #weightloss #bodybuilding #gymgirl happy lifting 🙂

thanks slimsensatiom for this insight off Facebook this morning

Happy friday

So it’s Friday and I’m super happy because I’ve stepped on the scales this morning and I’m now weighing at 12stone 3 so I am so close to losing 2 stone since January it’s just spuring me on even more!! Loving my gym life now and even more so I’m actually enjoying clean eating. In fact when I’m not eating clean I feel so rubbish. All the goodness I’m putting in my body now totally outweighs the bad. However I’ve been feeling like I’m losing my booty. It’s one thing I don’t want t lose. So I’ve upped my leg sessions to 2 a week on lighter focusing on my glutes and one heavier all over leg session. And I’m loving seeing the booty pop after I’ve trained 🙂

Something I haven’t had in ages is the below! NOCCA BCAA’s these are so Tasty my favourites are red berry and peach.

Something else new I’ve tried out recently due to signing up to the race for life pretty muddy event (5k obstacle course) I’m in need of getting my Running back on track and when it comes to cardio I am so unfit. So I have downloaded the app couch to 5k and anyone who wants to get back into running I highly recommend this as it builds you up to doing 5k in 8 weeks rather than just going straight into it so I feel this is building my endurance up instead of just completly putting me off all together.
Happy Friday
